Many families are now pre-planning to document their wishes for the service itself, including details such as flowers, music, officiate, where the burial should take place, burial verses cremation, and which funeral home to call at the time of death.

Pre-planning leaves behind important information for survivors such as where to locate military discharge papers, vital statistic information, and financial information. All of this and more can be recorded in our free Personal Planning Guide, available at any of our funeral provider locations. At the time of death, the survivors find it very helpful in making final decisions.

You may also choose to pre-fund your plan before your death. By paying ahead of time you will usually receive a discount on the items you purchase. The prearrangement can be paid all at once or spread out over time to make it more convenient for families. In most cases, when a death occurs and the plan is paid in full, the survivors have few expenses like the cost of death certificates, newspaper obituary charges and sales tax on merchandise.
